I work a lot with Adobe Photoshop but I don’t think I could ever undo whatever it was they changed on this chicken. And it's best before they packed it (according to the label). (I believe they meant “Adobo" and not “Adobe")
Well it's that time of year again and PDN PhotoPlus ( The PDN PhotoPlus International Conference + Expo is the largest photography and imaging show on the East Coast) is this Thursday, Friday and Saturday October 22nd, 23rd and 24th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. I surely hope there is something to catch my interest this year. Wasn't too much last year. http://www.photoplusexpo.com
I've been negligent in posting photography related or unrelated items for awhile, I know. Very busy moving my site URL and breaking my website. Rebuilding, rebranding and breaking my website. My head hurts! OK I think everything is cool… "It's all about the image." Wait... what?
My belief is there is a generally accepted misnomer in the photography world. That misnomer is “editing” when applied to retouching images. As far as I’m concerned, “editing” is the process of finding the best (or worse) images in a group in order to limit the total count of images for display, sale and or retouching, etcetera. A magazine Photo Editor picks the images of a photographer or photographers to display with an article, story or gallery, he doesn’t retouch the images (hopefully). In studio, shot with continuous light. Beautiful model / musician, who did her own makeup. Comments are welcome. Shot in studio with model seated, lighting was almost equal from softboxes Right and Left of model. Canon 5d, EF70-200mm f2.8L USM @ 200mm, iso 100, 1/100 sec @ f/2.8
Yesterday, leaving PhotoPlus 2013 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan New York City. Saw some software and a lot of hardware I would like to get but can't afford ( camera, tripod, soft boxes and other light modifiers).
This is a link to an article on the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) website that I found very interesting. I believe all creatives should be aware of and support this. http://www.ppa.com/ppa-today-blog/new-copyright-law-in-the-works.php
These are two images I shot in a fantastic house on Long Island. The model made several clothing changes and we used different areas of the house. Using multible flash units and reflecters, I directed the light to where I needed it. Post was done in Lightroom and then moved to Photoshop for finishing touches. Comments are always welcome. The first image was shot with model on staircase wearing a corset style top with some strong side lighting. Canon 5d, EF24-70mm f2.8L USM @ 50mm, iso 400, 1/125 sec @ f/2.8 The second image was shot with the model in a closet space wearing...
